SYSPOINT VIRTUAL COMPILER™ “SVC”
SYSPOINT Virtual Compilers™ provide a minimum 30% savings over your existing compiler costs.
- Savings begin immediately and continue monthly
- No risk – commitment is monthly Implement within just a few days
- The actual compilers you use are the same compilers you use today
- No training or learning curve – SVCs are transparent to users, developers and operators.
The SYSPOINT Virtual Compilers (SVCs) have been designed for the IBM OS/390 and z/OS operating environments, and eliminate the expense associated with having to license the same compilers on multiple machines.
SVCs route the compiles from any mainframe in the datacenter to the one mainframe that is still running the IBM compiler. The output (listing, object code, etc.) is then returned to the user’s specified target datasets. SVCs use up to 70% less CPU time than traditional compilers and, by eliminating the need to license expensive redundant software, provide immediate reduction in monthly costs and an increase in productivity. All this is performed seamlessly and transparently to the end-user.
